Planning Work Program

Federal laws and regulations require the formation of a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for each urbanized area with a population of more than 50,000 to coordinate a comprehensive, cooperative and continuing transportation planning program. The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) is the designated MPO for the nine-county metropolitan region that includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties and the City of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, and Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Mercer Counties in New Jersey.
