Digital tools and technologies have the capacity to alter where and how we work (telework), as well as produce and distribute goods and services (automation). Increased and rapid digitalization of the economy has implications for everything from regional housing markets and land use decisions, to unemployment rates and supply chains.

Municipal Implementation Tool: Small-Scale Manufacturing

This brochure discusses small-scale manufacturing, and how it can be used as a tool for economic development and commercial corridor revitalization. In addition to explaining what differentiates small-scale manufacturing from other forms of manufacturing, the MIT provides an overview of its benefits and challenges, as well as specific strategies for fostering growth in small-scale manufacturing.
