DVRPC convenes a number of committees whose work informs DVRPC’s planning processes and Board decisions. Bringing together experts from various fields and members of the public, our committees create opportunities for collaboration and data and information sharing. DVRPC Board
The DVRPC Board establishes regional transportation policies, determines allocation of available transportation funds, and prioritizes transportation projects. It holds the authority and responsibility to make decisions affecting the entire organization and the region.
Regional Technical Committee
The RTC reports to the DVRPC Board on transportation planning initiatives, including the development and maintenance of the Transportation Improvement Program and the long-range plan.
Public Participation Task Force (PPTF)
The PPTF offers a welcoming space for members of the public to meet with planners, learn about timely topics, share ideas, and provide feedback.
Delaware Valley Goods Movement Task Force (DVGMTF)
The DVGMTF maximizes the region’s goods movement capability by sharing information and technology between public and private freight interests, promoting the region's intermodal capabilities and capacity, and developing and implementing a regional goods movement strategy.
Information Resources Exchange Group (IREG)
IREG provides a forum to discuss the creation, use, and exchange of planning-related information in the region, promoting knowledge sharing for data analysis, synthesis, and presentation.
Transportation Operations Task Force (TOTF)
TOTF is the focal point of regional intelligent transportation systems (ITS) coordination. It is a forum for agencies to share information on ITS deployments and incident management programs, coordinate on regional ITS issues, and respond to federal initiatives.
Regional Safety Task Force (RSTF)
The RSTF brings together a multi-disciplinary group of professionals to discuss solutions for reducing the number of crashes and the resultant casualties in the region. It meets quarterly to build effective partnerships, exchange information, and guide planning efforts.
Futures Group
The Futures Group is a collaborative, transdisciplinary group of subject matter experts and interested stakeholders that discusses emerging trends and forces–social, technological, environmental, economic, or political–and how they are shaping the region.
Municipal Exchange
The Municipal Exchange brings together municipal officials and staff from across the region to discuss shared challenges, exchange practical solutions, and hear updates on available resources and funding opportunities.
