The Information Resources Exchange Group (IREG) was formed in 1991 to provide a forum to discuss the creation, use, and exchange of planning-related information in the Greater Philadelphia region. IREG is dedicated to sharing innovation and development in information technology related to GIS and geospatial technology, data visualization, data management practices and tools, cartography, and spatial analysis. Membership includes over 90 organizations representing local, county, state, regional, and federal agencies and governments; data centers and affiliates; universities and academic institutions; regional utilities; and not-for-profit organizations.
