The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) will open a public comment period to seek your input on theDraft Connections 2050 Long-Range Plan (LRP). The Plan consists of two documents. The primary document is the Connections 2050 Policy Manual, which crafts a vision for regional growth and development, identifies strategies to obtain the vision, and contains a summary of the financial plan. In addition, the Connections 2050 Process Manual documents the Plan’s outreach, background info that informs the plan’s vision and strategies, and contains a detailed financial plan. DVRPC will accept comments on both draft Long-Range Plan documents from July 28, 2021 until August 30, 2021 at 5:00 PM local time.
Electronic versions of both Draft Connections 2050 Long-Range Plan documents are available at www.dvrpc.org/2050/. If requested, the Draft LRP can be translated into an alternative format or language.
DVRPC updates the Long-Range Plan every four years to maintain the federally required 20-year horizon, while using performance-based planning to ensure efficient use of the region’s natural resources, public funding, and other assets. The Draft Connections 2050 Long-Range Planoutlines a vision for the region’s growth and preservation, and a fiscally constrained financial plan for funding transportation infrastructure.
To abide by public health guidelines for public gatherings, the required public meetings will be held online at two different times. These online public meetings will also include presentations of the Draft DVRPC Federal Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for New Jersey (FY22-FY25) and the Draft Conformity Determination. The online meetings will be recorded and posted online about a day after.
