Newly released Transit Conditions data from the National Transit Database shows that from 2019-2022, nearly half of the region’s transit support vehicles are beyond their useful life benchmark (ULB), and roughly one-fifth of their transit revenue vehicles are in the same condition. The DVRPC Board has approved over $1.2 million to fund 12 innovative transportation projects through the Travel Options Program (TOP). The program funds projects that will provide better access to and awareness of more travel options in the DVRPC region, such as walking, biking, and taking transit.
