The meeting featured presentations from DVRPC planning staff who introduced the region’s Long-Range Plan and the development of the Work Program. The workshop ended with breakout rooms where residents were able to provide feedback on the Work Program and brainstorm new project ideas for their communities across the region.
The DVRPC Planning Fellowship is an opportunity for people of color to explore the field of city and regional planning, without prior training or experience, by spending a year working with various departments across the Commission. Applications are due by October 15, 2024.
The goals of the Bike-Friendly Resurfacing Program are to identify useful connections, improve safety for people bicycling, and implement new facilities efficiently. The program was recently recognized by the National Association of Regional Councils for excellence in programs and services.
