Operations & Organizational Development Intern

Job Description 

Assist DVRPC’s Office of Operations. The Office of Operations is involved in organizational development, meeting coordination and collaboration, and employee engagement. The intern will play a key role in supporting our Operations team by contributing to various projects and initiatives aimed at fostering a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with core values and our internal strategic plan. Close supervision is provided by the Operations Manager and Special Projects Coordinator. 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist with monthly internal and external meetings
  • Assist with identifying learning opportunities for DVRPC staff and the organization of learning materials available
  • Research and compile a database of conferences that DVRPC staff routinely attend for learning and career advancement opportunities
  • Support the maintenance and update of the intranet site with relevant information, resources, and announcements around organizational development projects.
  • Help plan and execute employee engagement activities in collaboration with the HR department
  • Develop materials to support DVRPC’s internal meeting culture
  • Perform related work as required. 

Qualifications 

  • Knowledge of and experience with organizational development, human resources, or learning and development. 
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task. 
  • Proficiency in Google Suite is required. 
  • Basic knowledge of Philadelphia regional issues and geography. 

Availability 

Availability to start on June 2nd, 2026 is preferred. This is a hybrid position  which  requires a commitment of up to 22.5 hours per week. 

Compensation 

 $19 per hour for interns currently pursuing or holding a  Bachelor’s degree. $22 per hour for candidates currently pursuing or holding a Master’s degree. Students with Work-Study funding are encouraged to apply. 

Minimum Education and Training 

Must have completed at least ONE YEAR   of a college/university program or be enrolled in a master's, or an equivalent combination of experience and training, plus substantial experience, interest, or involvement in Organizational Development, HR or a related area.
