Job Description
Assist DVRPC’s Office of Operations in advancing organizational development, employee upskilling, and in-office engagement efforts. The Office of Operations supports the agency’s internal culture through learning and development, process improvement, and staff experience initiatives. The intern will be an integral part of the team, contributing to projects that enhance staff skills, boost in-office collaboration, and streamline internal operations. Close supervision is provided by the Operations Manager and Special Projects Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Research and recommend upskilling and professional development opportunities for DVRPC staff, including trainings, certifications, and tools.
- Compile and maintain a database of relevant conferences and learning resources for employee career growth.
- Assist with the coordination and planning of internal and external meetings, including preparation and follow-up.
- Support the planning and execution of in-office employee engagement activities and events to foster a vibrant and connected work culture.
- Help maintain and update the agency’s intranet with timely and relevant resources, announcements, and internal guidance.
- Assist with operational projects that improve internal systems, documentation, or workflows.
- Perform related work as required.
Qualifications
- Interest in or experience with organizational development, operations, human resources, or learning and development.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Google Suite is required.
- Basic knowledge of Philadelphia regional issues and geography preferred.
Availability
Availability to start on Tuesday September 2nd, 2025 is preferred. This is a hybrid position which requires a commitment of up to 15 hours per week.
Compensation
$17 per hour for interns currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. $20 per hour for candidates currently pursuing a Master’s degree. Students with Work-Study funding are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Education and Training
Must have completed at least ONE YEAR of a college/university program or be enrolled in a master's, or an equivalent combination of experience and training, plus substantial experience, interest, or involvement in Organizational Development, HR or a related area.
