Healthy Communities Task Force

After more than a decade of collaboration, learning, and shared commitment to making our region healthier, we have retired the DVRPC Healthy Communities Task Force (HCTF) as of June 30, 2025.

Since its inception, the HCTF has brought together planners, public health professionals, academics, advocates, and community members to explore the intersections of public health and the built environment. Together, we’ve fostered important conversations, built meaningful connections across sectors, and championed strategies that make our communities healthier, safer, more equitable, and more resilient.

We want to sincerely thank all of you for your engagement, expertise, and support over the years. While the HCTF chapter has closed, DVRPC remains deeply committed to advancing healthy, resilient communities throughout Greater Philadelphia. We invite you to stay engaged with DVRPC by signing up for our newsletter, attending upcoming events, and exploring DVRPC's other committees. Together, we can continue to build on the foundation that the HCTF helped create.
