DVRPC collects travel monitoring data for the 9-county region. Counts are collected for bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicular movements.

DVRPC promotes operational improvements that maintain and restore the performance of existing transportation systems. DVRPC works with regional partners to promote relevant strategies and programs and helps coordinate first responders across multiple jurisdictions, agencies, and modes to improve system performance.

Traffic incident management task forces meetings offer emergency responders the chance to build relationships, discuss incident management protocol, participate in training, and share challenges and successes away from the scene of an incident with the goal of improving responder safety and incident clearance while minimizing impacts on traffic.

Healthy community planning encompasses a broad range of issues—including food access, safety, open space, walkability, and transit access—that can impact an individual's wellbeing.

Greater Philadelphia has a rich agricultural community, a diverse distribution and transportation network, and nationally recognized nonprofit and for-profit food system stakeholders. DVRPC's food system planning activities aim to assist stakeholders in recognizing these advantages while also working to overcome challenges to create a more resilient food system.
