Abstract: At the request of the City of Philadelphia, the Hunting Park East Freight Access Study was undertaken to examine neighborhood freight generation and patterns in more detail and to provide recommendations and strategies that support the industrial economic center while ensuring the safe and efficient movement of both people and goods. This study documents the existing land use and employment patterns; provides an analysis of activity and identified trends; and lays out a set of recommendations for designating and implementing a truck route network, complete streets design considerations, and increased clarity of directional and truck restriction signage.
