1. Welcome & Introductions (5 minutes)

Chair Bill Neary and Princeton Mayor Liz Lempert will open the meeting.

2. Forum Business (5 minutes)

a. February 1 meeting summary & approval (VOTE)

b. Draft Strategic Plan adoption (VOTE)

3. NJ Port Authority Gateway (10 minutes)

a. Kevin McCabe, Port Authority Commissioner, will provide information on the Gateway Program: the planned, phased expansion and renovation of the Northeast Corridor (NEC) rail line between Newark, New Jersey, and New York City, New York.

b. Steering Committee will present a Draft Resolution in Support of the Gateway Project (VOTE)

4. Updating Planning Studies (20 minutes)

a. Bill Neary will open a discussion on a potential first step in advancing the Strategic Plan: a $150-500k study of transit service in central New Jersey aimed at reducing highway congestion and the demand for expensive, new-capacity highway projects.

b. Resolution in Support of Scope of Work Development (VOTE)

5. NJTPA Land Use Database Tools (30 minutes)

a. NJTPA will present its New Jersey Land Use + Transit Data Application data schema for development, focusing on the northern branch. It allows users to map, report, and download a range of land use, travel, public transit, demographic, and real estate development data.

b. NJTPA will present its Planning Recommendations Integration Management Engine (PRIME) database and schema, used to help organize and map planning studies in the region.

6. Planning Projects Round Table (15 minutes)

Representatives from Mercer, Somerset & GMTMA will discuss current projects, strategies, committees, regional Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funds, and grant opportunities.

7. Brief Updates & Dialogue (20 minutes)

a. NJTPA Planning for Emerging Centers applications

b. Potential updates on the Rutgers $10M Light Rail award, Department of Environmental Protection-Volkswagen settlement
