Regional Vision Zero: Lincoln Highway

Project Description

Vision Zero is an international movement to eliminate all traffic deaths and serious injuries and ensure everyone arrives at their destination safely. Under the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s (DVRPC’s) Regional Vision Zero program, the organization developed a Regional High Injury Network (RHIN) that identifies the most dangerous roads according to reported crash data. In 2025, DVRPC was awarded federal Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) funding to study four corridors on the RHIN. Our initial corridor project focuses on identifying multimodal traffic safety concerns and solutions along Lincoln Highway from Toth Avenue to Route 340-Bondsville Road.

The study team will conduct extensive neighborhood outreach, research on existing planning efforts, a road safety audit, and a crash traffic analysis to inform safety improvements on the corridor. Based on these findings, the team will develop a series of recommendations aimed at improving safety, mobility, and quality of life for all users of the street.

Engagement with Community Groups

To create robust recommendations that meet the community's needs, the project team will work closely with local stakeholders and gather input from residents. DVRPC is engaging the community through:

  • The Steering and Advisory Committee: Composed of key government and community stakeholders, the committee will provide guidance and feedback throughout the study.
  • Public Outreach: Community members can provide input during our upcoming outreach efforts.
