The DVRPC Board approved the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Unified Planning Work Program at its meeting on January 22, 2026. This document outlines DVRPC’s planning projects and programs for the nine-county region from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
The Work Program reflects policy direction and input from state and federal planning partners, member governments, operating agencies, and other regional organizations. Sample regional planning projects for the upcoming year include a transit vision for southeastern Pennsylvania, county and local support for data center-related land use planning, signal retiming programs, and the expansion of GIS pass-through programs to support new county data needs. New local projects include an operations analysis of the Mercer TRADE shuttle, safety studies in the City of Philadelphia and Burlington County, a Municipal Complete Streets Resurfacing pilot in Chester County, and a study to increase the reliability and resilience of infrastructure and utility services to extreme weather events in the Perkiomen Creek Watershed.
