Federal regulations require that the Metropolitan Planning Organization self-certify that the Regional Transportation Planning Process is carried out in conformance with applicable federal regulations. Staff will present its recommendation for Board adoption.

6. Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) Funding Requests in Delaware County and Philadelphia

7. Election of Fiscal Year 2011 DVRPC Board Officers

Elections will take place for the Fiscal Year 2011 DVRPC Board Officers. At this time nominations may be taken from the floor.



8. Regional Citizens Committee (RCC) Report

The activities from the RCC Meeting of June 15, 2010 will be reported to the Board.


9. NJ 73 Corridor Study

An overview will be given of the recently completed NJ 73 Corridor Study. This study seeks to preserve the operating performance of the current transportation facilities within the NJ 73 corridor by promoting multi-modal transportation solutions to help alleviate current and forecasted travel growth, coordinate land use and transportation planning, determine policies for future transportation improvements, and encourage municipal actions to achieve a land use pattern that is reflective of smart growth principles.

10. DVRPC Long-Range Vision for Freight

Freight shipments, which are forecasted to significantly grow in the coming years, produce a variety of impacts on communities in the Delaware Valley. Working with local freight stakeholders, DVRPC has identified a list of guiding policies and needed transportation projects to improve the flow of freight. By addressing the unique operations and needs of freight shippers and carriers, this effort complements the Connections 2035 long range plan.
