3.    Draft Fiscal Year 1999 Planning Work Program

Recommendations from the Board Work Program Committee, the Planning Coordinating Committee/Regional Transportation Committee (PCC/RTC), and the Regional Citizens Committee (RCC) will be presented to the Board for approval of theFY 1999 Planning Work Program.  It consists of three main sections: the DVRPC Regular Work Program, the Supportive Regional Highway Program, and the Transit Support Program (TSP). 

4.    FY 1998 Planning Work Program Amendment for TEAM Pennsylvania Program

DVRPC has been working with the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center andthe Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to expand collaboration, outreach and use of advanced technologies to retain, expand and create jobs in southeastern Pennsylvania.  DVRPC will expand its participation to include assistance in establishing Resource Network initiatives and support the Team Pennsylvania Business Calling Program.

5.    Draft Regional Indicators as Measures of Progress Toward the DVRPC Year 2020 Plan

In order to assess the region's progress in attaining the Year 2020 Plan goals, a set of 27 draft regional indicators have been prepared that reflect the eight policy issues of the Plan.  By measuring changing conditions over time, the indicators willprovide a picture of regional trends and allow an examination of the effectiveness of regional policies and programs.  An overview of the draft indicators will be provided.

6.    EPA Disapproval of New Jersey State Implementation Plan (SIP) Revision

On December 12, 1997, EPA Region 2 disapproved the 15% SIP revision for New Jersey due to the state's failure to implement an enhanced Inspection and Maintenance program on a timely basis.  This action will start a two year countdown at the end of which federal highway sanctions will be imposed.
