4. Authorization to Open a Public Comment Period for the Draft DVRPC New Jersey FY 2006-2008 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), the Long Range Plan Known as Destination 2030 , and the Associated Air Quality Conformity Determination

Staff will recommend that the Board approve the release of the Draft FY 2006-2008 TIP for New Jersey and the Destination 2030 Long Range Plan for a 30-day public comment period beginning in early May.

5. Delaware Valley Regional Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Architecture

DVRPC's ITS Technical Task Force developed a Regional ITS Architecture in 2001 and has been successfully using it to guide the planning, integration and deployment of ITS projects in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Board approval is being requested for this document.

6. Appointment of Nominating Committee for Fiscal Year 2006 DVRPC Board Officers

A Nominating Committee will be selected to appoint candidates for Board Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer for Fiscal Year 2006 (July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006). The Chair for FY 2006 must be from New Jersey. The committee will report these candidates at the May Board meeting and elections will take place at the June Board meeting.

PRESENTATIONS

7. 2005 Public Opinion Survey

As an element of the Year 2030 Plan preparation, DVRPC undertook a public opinion survey of residents of the Delaware Valley region. The survey and its results present a picture of current perceptions and priorities of the citizens of the region in the areas of transportation services and funding, and land use and development issues.

8. City-Suburb Collaboration

Staff will present an assessment and analysis of the barriers and opportunities for direct collaboration between the cities of Philadelphia and Camden and their adjoining suburban neighbors.
