3. Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Actions

During the course of the fiscal year, it becomes necessary for the State Departments of Transportation (DOT's) and/or transit operators to amend the TIP. ten amendments have been submitted for consideration.

4. Federal Aid - Functional Classification Change

PennDOT has requested the deletion of McCoys Lane, in Upper Marion Township, Montgomery County, from the Federal Aid Highway System since this is a private road and was inadvertently classified.


5. Regional Policy Position regarding Reauthorization of AIR 21, the Airport FAA Airports Development Program

Air 21 is due to be reauthorized at the end of FFY03. Programs and funding allocations in that legislation will have unique impacts and opportunities for RASP Airports and heliports. The RAC has discussed the content of the enclosed policy memo and seeks to have the positions endorsed by the DVRPC Board and presented to the regions congressional representatives before reauthorization language is finalized.

INFORMATION ITEMS

6. Inventory of Potential Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Sites

Staff will present an overview of Inventory of Potential TOD Sites, that has identified 44 transit stations in the region for further study. Topics to be discussed include study goals and approach, station selection criteria, inventory characteristics, and progress to date. DVRPC's previous TOD work will also be summarized.

7. Planning at the Edge of the Region

Staff will present an examination of common or conflicting issues at the border of the DVRPC region, including issues of Transportation and Land Use, Goods Movement, Public Transit, and Environmental Issues.

8. I-95 Cordon Survey

I-95 is one of the highest volume corridors in the region. Highlights of the 2001 External and Through Survey at the I-95 cordon will be presented including trip origins and destinations, vehicle mix, trip length and truck commodities.

9. Southerly Crossings Corridor Study

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC), working in conjunction with an Interagency Advisory Committee (IAC) of bi-state transportation, planning, and environmental agencies, has completed Phase I of the Southerly Crossings Corridor Study. The Phase I Study evaluating transportation deficiencies and needs on four roadway bridges connecting Bucks County in Pennsylvania and Mercer County in New Jersey will be presented.
