1. Call to Order

Task Force members and friends will be welcomed and recognized. Highlights from the previous freight advisory committee meeting on October 15, 2014 will be offered for approval.

2. Sustainable Urban Freight Systems

Professor Michael Browne of the University of Westminster (London, England) will discuss his research activities which focus on issues of sustainable distribution and logistics at both the urban and regional scale. Recent projects include: best practice in urban freight initiatives in European cities, how partnerships can be used to promote improved urban freight operations, and the impact on freight transport of the 2012 Olympic Games.

3. Greater Philadelphia Futures

The Greater Philadelphia Futures exercise being conducted by DVRPC looks to identify the key future forces of change that will impact the region over the next 25 years, as part of the next (2045) regional long-range plan update. DVRPC worked collaboratively with a broad group of regional stakeholder experts to identify the five forces that will be presented and discussed through a freight lens and breakout group format at the Goods Movement Task Force meeting.

4. Two-minute Reports

Task Force and Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members and friends are invited to offer updates on the activities of their companies and agencies.

5. Old or New Business/Adjournment

Old or new items of business will be considered. The remaining 2015 meeting dates of the Delaware Valley Goods Movement Task Force are: April 15, July 15, and October 14.
