1. Call to Order

Task Force members and friends will be welcomed and recognized. Highlights from the previous freight advisory committee meeting on October 12, 2011 will be offered for approval.

2. DVRPC Office of Freight Planning Primary Activities for FY 2013—Action Item

In concert with developing the FY 2013 DVRPC Planning Work Program, the proposed primary activities of the DVRPC Office of Freight Planning have been identified. The Task Force will be asked to support these priorities.

3. FY 2013 Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Competitive Funding Program

Sean Greene of DVRPC will provide an overview of the CMAQ funding program and project and applicant eligibility requirements. The program will provide up to $10.6 million in funding for projects that improve air quality
or reduce traffic congestion.

4. Fairless Hills Marine Terminal Update

Tom Jennings of Saul Ewing and Jim Schine of Kinder Morgan will present an update on operations at the Fairless Hills Terminal in Bucks County. Once a single user ore port in the 1950s, the terminal is now a major driver in the
regional economy and an integral component of the Kinder Morgan network of facilities and services.

5. SEPTA, Amtrak & Freight: Co-Existence and Co-Dependence in Southeastern Pennsylvania

Byron Comati, SEPTA’s Director of Strategic Planning and Analysis, will share an overview of the various trackageownership, rights, and current passenger rail service in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Attention will also be given to
passenger rail extension feasibility studies and extensions in the design phase.

6. Connecting the Dots: Philadelphia’s Past, Present, and Future

Sam Katz, who is producing a documentary film on Philadelphia’s history, is also leading the effort to promote and plan for the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. He will discuss both projects and outline ideas that
his new organization, USA250, has for facilitating a Philadelphia-centric celebration 15 years from now.

7. Two-minute Reports

Task Force and Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members and friends are invited to offer updates on the activities of their companies and agencies.

8. Old or New Business/Adjournment

Old or new items of business will be considered. The remaining 2012 meeting dates of the Delaware Valley Goods Movement Task Force are: April 18, July 18, and October 17.
