[1] Call to order
New Task Force members will be recognized and January 14, 2000 meeting notes (see attachment) will be offered for approval.
[2] DVRPC FY 2001-2004 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
Charles Dougherty, Associate Director of the DVRPC Transportation Planning Division, will provide an overview of the updates of the DVRPC FY 2001-2004 TIPs for the New Jersey and Pennsylvania portions of the region. Comments about the TIP updates prepared by the Task Force subcommittees will also be summarized (see attachment).
[3] Port Initiatives
The Delaware River Port Authority, and its consultant team including John Vickerman of TranSystems Corporation, will discuss the Philadelphia Region Agile Port System Project which addresses inefficiencies and congestion at marine terminals, inland intermodal facilities, and distribution corridors for the benefit of commercial and military freight transport. John Hummer of the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority will describe the agency''s study of channeling new or expanded freight and port-related businesses into brownfield sites.
[4] National Highway System (NHS) Connector Study
Kate Quinn of the Federal Highway Administration will describe the nationwide examination of NHS connectors. Connectors are the critical highways which link intermodal freight facilities to major highways and which are the subject of increased attention by planners.
[5] Two-minute Reports
Task Force and Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members will provide updates on the relevant activities of their companies and agencies.
[6] Old/New Business
Old or new items of business will be considered.
