[1] Call to order
All Task Force members will be recognized and the January 12, 2001 meeting notes will be offered for approval. (See meeting highlights.)

[2] DVRPC Long Range Plan
DVRPC is preparing a long range plan called Horizons. The plan is intended to guide the region''s growth and development to the year 2025. Rich Bickel of DVRPC will present a summary of the land use element of the plan. Roger Moog of DVRPC will summarize the airport plan. Summary documents of the plan have been previously mailed to Task Force members. Following the presentation, the Goods Movement Task Force will be asked to recommend that the land use, airport, and transportation plan be adopted by the DVRPC Board (scheduled for May 24). (Note: the transportation plan was presented to the Task Force at the January meeting.)

[3] Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center
Joe Houldin, Executive Director, will discuss programs and assistance available through the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC). DVIRC is a private, not-for-profit economic development organization whose mission is to improve the competitiveness of small to medium-sized manufacturers in the southeastern Pennsylvania area.

[4] Marine Transportation System
Ray Barberisi of the Maritime Administration will discuss the U.S. Marine Transportation System (MTS) initiative. The MTS consists of waterways, ports, and landside connections which allow the various modes of transportation to move people and goods to, from, and on the water. The MTS process provides a way to bring many parties together to develop one voice for water transportation.

[5] Two-minute Reports
Task Force and Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members will provide updates on the activities of their companies and agencies.

[6] Old/New Business
Old or new items of business will be considered. The next meeting of the Goods Movement Task Force is July 11, 2001.
