1. Call to order
All Task Force members and guests will be recognized and the October 8, 2003 meeting notes will be offered for the committee''s approval (see meeting highlights).
2. Updates of the DVRPC FY 2005 Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs)
Charles Dougherty will review the current updates of the DVRPC FY 2005 TIPs, the short-range capital improvement programs for the Delaware Valley.
3. The Importance of the Chemical Industry to the Delaware Valley Region
Pam Witmer, President of the Pennsylvania Chemical Industry Council, will give an overview of the Delaware Valley''s vital chemical industry.
4. New Hours Of Service Regulations
Don Siekerman, Director of Safety for the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association, will review the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration''s new hours of service regulations.
5. Intermodal Freight Transportation: Fifth Edition
William J. DeWitt, Ph.D., Teaching Professor of Logistics, Transportation & Supply Chain Management at the University of Maryland, will discuss his current research activities.
6. Two-minute Reports
Task Force and Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members and guests will provide updates on the activities of their companies and agencies.
7. Old and New Business
Old and new items of business will be considered. The next scheduled meeting of the Goods Movement Task Force is April 14, 2004.
