1. Call to order
All Task Force members will be recognized and the April 15, 2005 meeting notes will be offered for the committee's approval (see meeting highlights).
2. FY 2007 Work Program Concepts
In conjunction with development of the DVRPC FY 2007 Work Program, several concepts for freight-related studies have been proposed (see concept list). The Goods Movement Task Force will be asked to establish priorities among potential studies through a voting process.
3. 2005 Land-Use and Freight Summit
With the assistance of the Delaware Valley Goods Movement Task Force, the National Association of Regional Councils will conduct a national summit focusing on the connections between land use and freight from September 7-9. (note: the event is invitation only)
4. Truck and Bus Travel in the Delaware Valley Region
Matt Gates will present highlights of a DVRPC report that compiles data from numerous sources to estimate the number of trucks and buses in the region, their trip making patterns, and the magnitude of truck and bus travel in the region, expressed as vehicle-miles of travel.
5. Advanced Travel Center Electrification
Carol Doty, Strategic Affairs Manager, will discuss IdleAire's technology and business model which provide a turn-key solution to the challenge of extended idling of diesel trucks. A short video demonstrating the technology will also be shown.
6. Economy and Trade Outlook
Global Insight, Inc., offers comprehensive economic and financial coverage of countries, regions, and industries. Paul Bingham, Principal, will discuss major trade trends and his current research efforts.
7. Two-minute Reports
Task Force and Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members will provide updates on the activities of their companies and agencies.
8. Old/New Business
Old or new items of business will be considered. The next scheduled meeting of the Delaware Valley Goods Movement Task Force is Friday, October 21, 2005.

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) fully complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related nondiscrimination mandates in all programs and activities.
