1. Call to Order

Task Force members and friends will be welcomed and recognized. Highlights from the previous freight advisory committee meetings on October 09, 2019 will be offered for approval.
 

2. Maryland Truck Parking Study

Truck parking issues continue to rank atop the list of concerns from both industry and freight transportation planners alike. L'Kiesha Markley of the Maryland State Highway Administration will provide an overview of Maryland Department of Transportation's effort to better understand and address truck parking issues in Maryland.
 

3. Carrier Spotlight: CSX Transportation

As one of the two Class I freight railroads operating in Greater Philadelphia, CSX plays a significant role in supporting the regional economy. Kurt Miles, Industrial Development Manager with CSX Transportation will provide an update on the railroad’s progress with precision railroading and highlight major projects and service improvements that have a direct impact on the region.
 

4. Citizens Bank Regional Maritime Training Center

Karen Kozachyn, Dean of Workforce Development and Community Education at Delaware County Community College will provide an overview of the recently opened Citizens Bank Regional Maritime Training Center. This new initiative will support the growing maritime industry by providing access to specialized training programs and is supported by Citizens Bank, the Collegiate Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development, PhilaPort and Philadelphia Works.

5. Two‐minute Reports

Task Force and Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members and friends are invited to offer updates on the activities of their companies and agencies.
 

6. Old or New Business/Adjournment

Old or new items of business will be considered. The remaining 2020 meeting dates of the Delaware Valley Goods Movement Task Force are:

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) fully complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and related nondiscrimination mandates in all programs and activities. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with DVRPC's ADA and Title VI Compliance Officer Shoshana Akins and/or the appropriate state or federal agency within 180 days of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.
