4. Nominating Committee Report: Proposed Candidates for Fiscal Year 2006 DVRPC Board Officers

The Nominating Committee will report their recommended slate of officers to serve on the DVRPC Board for Fiscal Year 2006 (July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006). Elections will take place at the regular June Board meeting at which time nominations may also be made from the floor.

5. Regional Citizens Committee (RCC) Report

Dennis Winters, Chairman of the RCC, will report to the Board the activities of the RCC's Meeting of May 17, 2005.

PRESENTATIONS

6. Safety Conscious Planning at DVRPC

Although safety issues have traditionally been incorporated into many of DVRPC's planning projects, the approach had been fragmented and focused on reactive measures. DVRPC staff's Safety Conscious Planning is a new process that not only looks at proactive measure but includes a holistic approach aimed at engineering, education, enforcement and emergency services to provide solutions to safety problems.
