2. DVRPC Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Actions

The dynamic nature of funding transportation improvements and the need to remain within financial constraint require amendments or modifications to the TIP. The following projects require formal TIP Amendments or Modifications this month for the FY 20222 TIP for NJ and the FY2023 TIP for PA.

3.  DVRPC Regional Trails Program – Phase 9 Grant Awards

Staff will present 11 planning, design, and construction projects recommended for funding by the Regional Trails Program Phase 9 selection committee. Phase 9 funding is available for multi-use trail and adjoining infrastructure, including trailheads, gateways, and neighborhood connections. The Regional Trails Program is supported by the William Penn Foundation.

4. Adoption of Regional Safety Targets Update to Satisfy MPO Requirements Under the Federal Transportation Performance Management (TPM) Process

Staff will present on Roadway Safety which is part of the TPM program. The FHWA defines it as a strategic approach that uses system information to make investment and policy decisions to achieve national performance goals. PM 1 - Safety, supports the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) by establishing safety performance measure requirements for the purpose of carrying out the HSIP and to assess fatalities and serious injuries on all public roads. The Board is being asked to adopt the regional safety targets update, and agree to plan and program projects that improve roadway safety to meet or exceed the safety targets.
