This is a documentation of the process and findings of the PA 10 Road Safety Audit (RSA) undertaken by Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC). This project represents the collaboration between PennDOT District 6 and DVRPC to address locations in the region with safety issues, to obligate HSIP funding for remedial actions with the aim of making the region's roadways safer. This corridor was identified under Section 148 Planned Safety Projects in the 2006 District 6 Safety Plan as a "high risk rural road." The goal of the audit is to generate improvement recommendations and countermeasures for the two sections of PA 10 to reduce the incidence of motor vehicle crashes. The emphasis is placed on identifying low- cost, quick-turnaround safety projects to address the issues where possible. The report details safety issues identified by the audit team along the study corridor and remedial strategies to address them. Priorities for implementation are identified, and scope of work and cost estimate are formulated.Geographic Area Covered: The study area consists of two sections of PA 10 in Chester and Lancaster Counties, incorporating seven municipalities
