Designed to expand access to regional planning and decision-making, the Public Participation Task Force (PPTF) connects community members directly to DVRPC’s work, helping shape how public engagement happens across the region.
Earlier this month, DVRPC welcomed 15 new members to the Public Participation Task Force (PPTF). Selected for their varied expertise, lived experience, and interest in regional planning, the incoming members were chosen by a review committee of DVRPC staff, engagement professionals, and former task force members. Their addition brings the task force to 50 members representing all nine counties in the DVRPC region, each serving as a community liaison throughout 2026.
On January 29, 2026, incoming and returning members gathered online for the 2026 welcome meeting, marking the start of the year’s work. Through presentations from DVRPC staff, members learned more about DVRPC’s work, explored the task force’s role, and set personalized goals for the year ahead. This meeting laid the groundwork for a collaborative year focused on strengthening public participation and elevating community voices.
Residents interested in learning more about the PPTF can visit the webpage or attend the next virtual public meeting on Wednesday, March 4, at 6:00 pm. Applications for the 2027 Public Participation Task Force will be accepted through December 2026. Register to attend the March meeting.
