We are making it easier for local governments to connect with each other and get support from DVRPC to advance municipal priorities! As the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for Greater Philadelphia, we have resources available to the 350 municipalities in our nine-county region.
DVRPC has launched two new initiatives to support our local governments:
Municipal Help Desk - DVRPC supports municipalities with planning, public engagement, data, grants, funding, and implementation. To make DVRPC resources more widely available and to make it easier for local governments to ask for and get help, DVRPC has created the Municipal Help Desk. This simple intake process connects local government staff directly with the DVRPC expertise and assistance they need. Learn more about the Municipal Help Desk.
Municipal Exchange - The quarterly Municipal Exchange offers a space for municipal officials to engage in candid dialogue, share insights with peers, and collaborate on practical solutions to common municipal challenges, while also connecting partners to funding opportunities and technical assistance that can support local priorities. The first Municipal Exchange was held on October 9, 2025, and featured successful local strategies for helping municipalities prepare for the upcoming semiquincentennial (America’s 250th birthday). Future topics may include transit-oriented development, stormwater management, and housing affordability, as identified through a survey of municipalities. Learn more about the Municipal Exchange.
