The Planning Assistance Center

DVRPC works with many stakeholders, from state to local government, from professional planners to citizen planners, and from private to public sector. The Planning Assistance Center houses information on funding and consultant opportunities, as well as technical assistance programs.

Funding Opportunities

DVRPC administers or advises on a number of funding opportunities, most of which are designed for local governments.

Business Opportunities

Consultants can find Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Qualifications (RFQs) and other opportunities here. DVRPC occasionally posts RFPs for member governments as a courtesy.

Municipal Resources

DVRPC offers resources that municipal officials, volunteers, and interested citizens may find useful, including a Municipal Exchange, municipal help desk, and implementation tools.

Economic Development

DVRPC manages the regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the Greater Philadelphia region, satisfying provisions of the United States Economic Development Administration.

Supporting Communities

This program provides technical assistance to lower resourced communities in order to identify various transportation infrastructure needs and help develop viable projects to potentially implement.

Safe Routes To Transit

Safe Routes to Transit - PA and NJ projects seek to assist municipalities in bridging the gap between planning and implementation by identifying potential funding early in project development. DVRPC assists municipal or county project sponsors to shape projects and/or perform planning-level design that make strong applications for funding such as through the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) or Pennsylvania's Multimodal Transportation Fund.
