This report represents a continuation of the study of various housing topics studied by DVRPC in recent years. Previous studies have examined empirical data and developed policy recommendations to improve both the private homeownership housing market and the rental housing market within the nine-county Delaware Valley region. This report looks at the public and assisted housing stock of the region, the characteristics of its residents, programs employed by public housing authorities to assist residents in moving up and out of assisted housing, and alternative housing management techniques employed by housing authorities both within and outside of the region.
