Human Resources

In support of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission's (DVRPC) principles, values and mission, the Human Resources Department will take a leadership role and provide services to promote DVRPC's philosophy that our employees are our most valuable resource and will be treated as such.

In support of this mission we will:

  • Ensure that both women and men are given the tools, training, and motivation to work in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Promote individual success and increase overall value to the Commission.
  • Promote and recruit the best qualified people, recognizing and encouraging the value of diversity in the workplace, and retaining valuable employees.
  • Provide a competitive salary and benefits package and develop the full potential of our work force by providing training and development for career enhancement.
  • Provide a work atmosphere that is safe, healthy, and secure, and also conscious of long-term family and community goals.
  • Inspire and encourage a high level of employee morale through recognition, effective communications, and constant feedback.
  • Establish, administer, and effectively communicate sound policies, rules, and practices that treat employees with dignity and equality, while maintaining DVRPC's compliance with employment and labor laws

These services are achieved via a teamwork philosophy that is inspired through effective organizational skills, proactive efforts, and maintaining a balance between professionalism and the ability to have fun.

Creativity and innovation are encouraged for improving the effectiveness of DVRPC's business goals and opportunities. Above all, employees will be provided the same concern, respect, and caring attitude within the organization that they are expected to share with our external partners.

The Human Resources staff members are strategic partners in supporting the Commission's mission by maximizing the value of human capital and aligning it with DVRPC's initiatives, values, strategies, and the needs of all stakeholders.

All individuals interested in employment opportunities with the Commission are encouraged to submit their resume and cover letter. All resumes are kept on file for one year and are reviewed by Human Resources when any position matching a candidate's education and experience becomes available.
