This aerial imagery index viewer utilizes Google's basemap layers. Therefore, the imagery shown within the viewer is not DVRPC imagery. The Google imagery is utilized simply as a reference to assist the user in locating his or her area of interest.

Orthoimagery


  • The 2000 imagery is grayscale, with a pixel resolution of 1.5 feet
  • The 2005 and 2010 imagery is natural color, with a pixel resolution of 1 foot
  • The 2015 imagery is 4-band (can be displayed as natural color or color infrared), with a pixel resolution of 1 foot
  • The images are geo-referenced to the Pennsylvania State Plane (South Zone) NAD83 coordinate system
  • Each year of orthoimagery has a horizontal positional accuracy of +/- 5 feet, and a design scale of 1 inch=200 feet
  • There is no overlap between the orthoimagery tiles

Historical Aerial Imagery


  • The 1965 to 1995 imagery is grayscale
  • These images are scans of DVRPC's non-orthorectified, mylar, aerial photo enlargements
  • In 1965, only imagery for the urbanized portion of the region was acquired
  • Please note that certain tiles within the coverage area are missing

  • The 1959 imagery is grayscale
  • These images are scans of DVRPC's non-orthorectified, mylar, aerial photo enlargements
  • In 1959, only imagery for the urbanized portion of the region was acquired
