Public Notice: Transportation Conformity findings for the FY 2007

DVRPC INVITES YOUR COMMENTS ON CONFORMITY FINDING

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) has opened a public comment period to reaffirm the Transportation Conformity findings for the FY 2007 Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs) and Commission's Destination 2030 Long Range Plan (LRP). The conformity finding of the TIPs and the LRP demonstrates that all projects contained therein conform to the requirements of the Clean Air Act as amended.

DVRPC has worked with the Wilmington Metropolitan Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO), a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Wilmington, DE, area, to coordinate conformity demonstration efforts for fine particulate matter (PM2.5). DVRPC's reaffirmation of Conformity for the TIPs and LRP will supplement the Conformity determination for WILMAPCO's update of their FY 2008 - 2011 TIP and 2030 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). WILMAPCO will be holding a concurrent public comment period on their TIP and RTP. This coordination is required as part of the conformity demonstration for multijurisdictional non-attainment areas.

Copies of the adopted Conformity finding are available on the DVRPC website, www.dvrpc.org, in the DVRPC Resource Center and at various libraries throughout the Delaware Valley. Written comments should be mailed to Conformity07-B Comments, c/o Sean Greene, Transportation Planner, DVRPC, 190 North Independence Mall West, Philadelphia, PA 19106; faxed to 215-592-9125; or e-mailed to tip-plancomments@dvrpc.org.
