3. Fiscal Year 2008 Planning Work Program Amendment: PennDOT First Class Township Mapping, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties

(Will Stevens) PennDOT has requested DVRPC's assistance with digital map files for First Class Townships located in bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

PRESENTATIONS

4. Regional Public Transportation Initiatives (Joseph Casey)

Joseph M. Casey, SEPTA General Manager, will present to the Board regional public transportation trends and initiatives including a discussion of growing ridership on the SEPTA system and actions to address ridership growth including acquisition of new vehicles and expanded/enlarged service initiatives. Mr. Casey will also discuss initiatives to improve customer service.

6. A National View of Freight Transportation (Kate Quinn)

Kate Quinn, Team Leader for Federal Highway Administration's Office of Freight Management and Operations, will present to the Board a snapshot of the volume and values of freight flows in the United States. This snapshot helps decision makers, planners, and the public understand the magnitude and importance of freight transportation in the economy and also serves as an effective prelude to commodity flow analyses and summaries for the Philadelphia Consolidated Statistical Area soon to be released by DVRPC staff.

7. Transportation Community Development Initiative (TCDI) 2008 Program Evaluation (Karen Cilurso)

The TCDI Program was initiated in 2002 to give planning grants to eligible communities in the region. Staff will present an overview of the grant program and an evaluation of the administration, project selection, and funding investments.
