- Introduction
- Meeting Overview and Purpose SAFETEA-LU requires metropolitan and statewide transportation planning agencies to include a discussion of types of potential environmental mitigation activities in their long-range plans. This discussion is to be developed in consultation with Federal, State and Tribal wildlife, land management, and regulatory agencies.
- Discussion of potential for improved environmental screening of transportation projects by DVRPC (MPOs) at the corridor study/initial-project-proposal phase
- Discussion of current compensatory mitigation processes, procedures, activities and interagency coordination
- Discussion of ecosystem approaches to mitigation
- DVRPC's vision for region-wide conservation in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Region: 2030 Greenspace Network
- Increasing opportunities for ecosystem-based mitigation and cooperative conservation
