1) Introductions
2) Trestle Bridge from Packer Ave. Marine Terminal to Publicker: The applicant proposes to construct a trestle bridge underneath and perpendicular to the Walt Whitman Bridge across an approximately 500-foot-wide inlet of the Delaware River. The purpose of the bridge is to connect Packer Avenue Marine Terminal to Publicker to provide transport of materials between the two sites and alleviate traffic along the entrance route to the two sites. The approximately 40-foot wide by 580-foot-long bridge would be constructed of a concrete slab sitting on steel girders and resting on forty-four (44) concrete-filled steel pipe piles. The elevation of the general area surrounding the proposed bridge ranges from about -3 ft MLLW to +3 ft MLLW. The elevation of the surface of the proposed bridge would be +15 ft MLLW.
