3. Transportation Improvement Program (TIP): Amendment PA0101
A request by the City of Philadelphia to add two projects to the TIP: 1) 41st Street Bridge over Amtrak's Main Line to Harrisburg, and 2) Passyunk Avenue Signal Corridor.
4. Amtrak Request for U.S. Department Of Transportation (U.S.DOT) Loan Assistance
Amtrak is requesting financial assistance from U.S.DOT to complete the $120 million project to remanufacture 30 electric locomotives that are 12-15 years old. This requests for $28.8 million of loan funds from the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act must appear in the regional and statewide TIP.

5. Development of the DVRPC FY2002 Planning Work Program
Staff will review the various components of the Work Program including Transportation Support Program, Supportive Highway Planning and DVRPC staff program. A review of the schedule and submission deadlines will be presented.
6. Regional Indicators
Following completion of the Direction 2020 Long-Range Plan, staff prepared a report in 1998 analyzing trends and changes in eight different issue areas relative to the policy goals of the Plan. This report will provide an update of the data and regional trends.
7. 2025 Transportation Plan
Staff will present current work on the long range plan, an update of the existing 2020 Plan. Included in this review will be lists of candidate projects that have been developed with operators and member governments over the last several months.
8. On line Information System
Staff has expanded its web site offerings to create a Regional Information System including access to Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities and traffic count data. Staff will present the scope and use of this information.
9. Regional Strategic Plan for Bicycle Mobility - Pennsylvania
The first draft copy of this plan will be distributed for comment with the expectation that approval will occur in the next several months.
10. 1997 Traffic Simulation Report
DVRPC staff will present a summary of the calibration/validation effort performed on the enhanced DVRPC regional travel demand models. These models have been significantly upgraded in response to the federal Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA), Transportation Equity Act (TEA-21) and air quality conformity requirements. They have been used for FY 2000 and 2001 TIP/2020 Plan conformity demonstrations and are being phased into use for traffic study work.
