Freight Projects and Funding

Implementing projects to maintain and enhance the region's freight network is vital to the region's competition in the global economy. In the Delaware Valley, many of the desired capital projects are those which are designed to maximize each individual mode of freight transportation and afford seamless intermodal linkages.

As evidenced throughout the country, successful regional freight initiatives are based on private-public partnerships. These partnerships are essential to implementing projects that can have economic, traffic, safety, and environmental benefits.
