FY2008 TIP for NJ
FY2008 TIP for NJThe DVRPC Board adopted the FY2008 TIP for NJ on June 28, 2007, with changes recommended by the Regional Transportation Committee. Before voting, the Board considered all of the comments received from the public and various agencies during the 30-day public comment period which ended June 1, 2007. This TIP was developed jointly in cooperation with NJDOT, NJ TRANSIT, DRPA/PATCO and DVRPC's member counties and cities. This TIP became effective October 1, 2007, following approval by FHWA and FTA. The public comment period was conducted jointly with NJDOT and NJ TRANSIT and served as an opportunity to comment on New Jersey's State Transportation Improvement Program. The DVRPC FY2008 TIP for NJ document is divided into four sections. Section One is the text portion of the document which gives a general overview of the TIP and the TIP development process. It is intended to familiarize the public with what the TIP is (and is not), how it was developed, and what can be expected for projects in the TIP. Next are various summaries of the New Jersey program, followed by a description of the public involvement process with a list of local libraries where reference copies of the draft TIP document were placed. This portion of the document also explains the project maps and listings for the various programs and explains the various codes and abbreviations used in the listings. Section Two provides county and region maps of the projects and maps showing the relationship of TIP projects to disadvantaged populations as part of the environmental justice review. Section Three in the print version, contains the detailed project listings **, which you can access individually here on the web, using the dropdown menus below. Section Four, the final section of the document, contains five Appendices: (A) DVRPC Board Resolutions adopting the TIP and Conformity Determination; (B) NJDOT Financial Guidance used in developing the program; (C) Executive Summary of the Documentation of the Air Quality Conformity Finding; (D) Memorandum of Understanding on Procedures to Amend and Modify the TIP; and, (E) Summary of Public Outreach, Public Comments, and Agency Responses. ** NOTE DVRPC will update the web listings (generally each month), as we amend or modify the TIP, as permitted under the TIP MOU. The "Summary of Amendments and Modifications" provides an chronological listing of all project changes. All of the following documents are in Adobe Acrobat PDF format.
