Coast Day
We asked "If you were the governor of Pennsylvania, which issues would be most important to you?" People had to make difficult decisions on which regional issues our area's governments should spend public funds. Participants were given five $1 million dollar "Coast Day" coins and asked to divide their dollars into eight important categories that matter the most to them. Approximately 400 people from Southeastern Pennsylvania decided to contribute the following amounts of "Coast Day" dollars to each category:
Every day, Federal, State, Regional and Local governments decide how we spend our public funds. On Coast Day, our regional citizens decided how we could spend our public funds. DVRPC has participated in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Coast Day every year since its inception in 2002. |
