Water ProgramsDVRPC administers the Tri-County Water Quality Management Plan for sewer service in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties and the Coastal Zone Management Program for development issues along the Delaware River coastline in Philadelphia, Bucks and Delaware counties. DVRPC also maintains resource information for two watershed management planning areas - the Crosswicks Creek (WMA20) and the Lower Delaware Tributaries (WMA18) - conducted as part of New Jersey's statewide watershed planning effort that took place from 2000 to 2003. Coastal Zone Management (CZM)DVRPC administers the PA DEP's CZM Program in this region, which includes CZM grant applications, providing municipal assistance along the Delaware Estuary, and, hosting the Urban Waterfront Action Group (UWAG) which provides "one-stop shopping" for information about waterfront development permits. Tri-County Water Quality Management BoardThe Tri-County Water Quality Management Board meets on an as-needed basis to discuss water quality issues in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties. WatershedsDVRPC is the lead agency for the development of a comprehensive watershed management plan for the Lower Delaware Tributaries Watershed Management Area (WMA 18) and the Crosswicks Creek Watershed Management Area (WMA 20) in NJ. DVRPC also produces Teachers Guides for New Jersey counties. Coast DaySince 2002, DVRPC has been proud to be a part of Southeastern Pennsylvania's annual Coast Day. This year, DVRPC asked area schoolchildren to participate in "Deciding the Future: How Would You Spend Our Region's Money?" and consider which regional issues ought to receive the most public funding. Stormwater Outfall Mapping ProtocolDVRPC developed this Protocol to assist member governments with their outfall mapping requirements and promote the collection of standardized outfall data across the region. |
