TRANSPORTATION COMMUNITY SYSTEM PRESERVATION PILOT PROGRAM (TCSP)
The Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21) includes a new Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) program entitled Transportation and Community and System Preservation Pilot Program (TCSP). This five year program (FY 1999 to FY 2003) is intended to develop projects and research that focus on transportation and land use linkage issues. For FY 1999, 524 letters of intent were received. In May 2000, the FHWA selected 35 projects for funding.

The Great Places with Transit newsletter was produced by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, under contract with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) from Winter 2000 to the Summer of 2003. It is a component of DVRPC's project "Implementing Transit-Oriented Development in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Region," partially funded by a Transportation and Community and System Preservation (TCSP) Pilot Program grant from the Federal Highway Administration. Newsletter design and layout was provided by McCormick, Taylor & Associates, Inc., also under contract with DVRPC.
