Join Us on 9/16 for E-Micromobility and the Media
The Regional Safety Task Force (RSTF) is hosting an online meeting on “E-Micromobility and the Media,” on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 10:00 am. The dangers people face while walking, biking, and scootering are not new, but recent headlines of crashes involving e-scooters and e-bikes highlight worsening safety trends. The media plays a crucial role in shaping safety culture through their reporting on traffic crashes and framing of transportation issues. What stories about e-micromobility need to be told in order to make our region’s roadways safer? How should these stories be shared, and who should be involved in telling them?
With a panel of guests sharing their expertise on reporting and e-micromobility, this meeting will be useful for journalists and anyone collaborating with media professionals. This meeting will inform the update to our Traffic Safety Culture and the Media Toolkit, as well as DVRPC’s upcoming E-Micromobility Summit focused on policy.
