DVRPC’s Public Participation Task Force Seeks New Members for 2027
Calling all transit and trail lovers, planning-curious folks, and open-minded advocates: let’s collaborate! DVRPC wants to hear what you think about the issues affecting your community. Apply to be a member of DVRPC’s Public Participation Task Force (PPTF).
What can I get out of this experience?
- Learn from the experts. Get an inside look at regional planning and DVRPC’s work.
- Bring your community’s ideas to the table. Help DVRPC hear from people beyond the meeting room.
- Explore issues you care about. Dig into current topics with planners and other residents.
- Try something new. Participate in hands-on workshops, design charrettes, and creative activities.
- Meet people from across the region.
- Receive a stipend for your participation.
What will we talk about?
PPTF meetings cover a range of topics related to planning and life in the Greater Philadelphia region. For example, members will learn how the Long-Range Plan (LRP) sets a 25-year vision for the future, how the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) directs transportation funding, and how stakeholders are included in updating the Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (CHSTP).
Past meeting topics have included Arts and Culture in Planning, Data at DVRPC, Planning for Major Regional Events, and Regional Vision Zero traffic safety. Visit the PPTF webpage to see more examples and to view past meetings.
What is the commitment?
Over their two-year term, PPTF members bring information about DVRPC back to their communities, while bringing questions and perspectives from those communities to DVRPC. The PPTF meets about nine times a year. Meetings may be held online, in person, or in a hybrid format. For more information about what membership means, visit the PPTF webpage.
We’re looking for residents from across the Greater Philadelphia region with a range of backgrounds, experiences, interests, and perspectives. You don’t need to be a planning expert; just be curious, willing to participate, and interested in sharing your point of view.
Applications for the 2027 cohort are open through December 20, 2026.
If you have any questions, please contact Lillian Drake, manager of the Public Participation Task Force, at ldrake@dvrpc.org.
