Public Participation Task Force Hosts Meeting on Planning and Funding Transportation Infrastructure Across the Region
On May 21, 2024, DVRPC’s Public Participation Task Force (PPTF) hosted a virtual meeting on “Planning and Funding Transportation Infrastructure Across the Region,” which explored how the region’s Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) plan for and fund transportation projects across Greater Philadelphia. The meeting featured presentations from DVRPC and Burlington County planning staff introducing the planning process of the region’s Long-Range Plan, the project selection process of the TIP, how residents can make public comments, and highlighting regional transportation projects in Burlington County and across the region.
The presentations concluded with a Q&A session during which attendees asked about the role of the Board and RTC in developing the TIP, and the integration of climate resilience and ADA accessibility in regional projects. The meeting concluded with attendees being encouraged to submit feedback through the LRP and Pennsylvania TIP public comment period, running from May 23 to June 24.
The Public Participation Task Force would like to thank our presenters for participating in this community-focused conversation: Amani Bey, Planner, DVRPC Office of Long-Range Planning; Ethan Fogg, Capital Program Coordinator, DVRPC Office of TIP Development and Maintenance; Alyson Dressman, Capital Project Planner, DVRPC Office of Capital Programs; and Tom J. Stanuikynas, Supervising Planner, County of Burlington.
