The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program (PEP) produces July 1st estimates for years following the last published decennial census (2000), and, in some cases, simultaneously revises annual estimates released for previous years.

NJDOT Route 1 Regional Growth Strategy (RT1RGS)
The Central Jersey Transportation Forum (Forum) and efforts by various entities to address the mobility needs of the region, the NJ Department of Transportation (NJDOT), with the assistance of the several municipalities, counties, private-sector stakeholders and state agency partners will evaluate and propose strategies that will lead to Smart Growth outcomes for the Route 1 Corridor in Central NJ.

Over the last 16 years, efforts to buy up remaining open space as a means of protecting natural resources, providing for recreation and shaping local development have escalated among the counties and municipalities in the region.
