Connections:
The Regional Plan for a Sustainable Future On-line Survey Results
The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) conducted
an on-line survey to gather public feedback and begin to prioritize
transportation, land-use, environmental and economic issues in
the region as part of the development of Connections: The Regional
Plan for a Sustainable Future. The survey was on-line for approximately
10 weeks and was also available in Spanish, Russian, and Chinese.
More than 5,000 people took the survey.
The survey results will
be used to draft a vision statement for the region and to help
develop long-range plan goals. These will be further refined
by regional stakeholders and during a series of focus groups
and public meetings conducted during the summer and fall of 2008.
The survey results for the entire nine-county region are summarized
in the following graphs. Each question allowed for up to two
or three choices, as a result the sum of all response options
is more than 100 percent. Results have also been summarized by
planning area type (as defined in the Destinations 2030 Long-Range
Plan) and county and are available by clicking
